The 2021 China Auto Chongqing Summit (CACS2021) is still fresh in participants' memory, and the absence of the CACS2022 for some reason is regrettable. With the end of the epidemic and the full recovery of the economy, "2023 China Auto Chongqing Summit", with the theme of "Shaping the Future of an Industry in Transition", will be held in Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center on June 8 to 9.
Hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Committee and Organizing Committee of Chongqing International Auto Exhibition, supported by Chongqing Municipal People's Government, since its inception in 2013, the Summit has been focusing on discussing the current situation and development trend of international automotive technology and market, aiming at organizing fruitful dialogues among governments, enterprises, industry experts and scholars and relevant institutions worldwide, focusing on practical results. With its influence growing and a unique friend circle for automobile insiders created under its umbrella, the CACS has become a prestigious industry event.
The century-old auto industry is in a period of profound transformation. The rapid evolution of New Energy Vehicle (NEV) and Intelligent-Connected-Vehicle (ICV) has promoted the upgrading of the global auto industry. NEVs will enter a second half with more intense competition and more brutal survival of the fittest as characteristics. 2023 is a special year, when China's auto industry is celebrating its 70th anniversary, and Sino-foreign automobile joint ventures will go through 40 years. As a pillar of China's national economy, the auto industry is a mainstay for China to accelerate new industrialization and achieve high-quality economic development. With the support of national policies, China's NEV industry has also made phased achievements. As a high-level industry summit held in the middle of the year, CACS2023 can play a good role in conducting a mid-term stocktaking, aligning direction, and enlightening the future.
The last edition - CACS2021 - set up 15 sessions with different styles, invited 85 speakers to share their insights, and attracted more than 500 audiences to participate. The chairmen of mainstream automakers and the founders of new forces were present, as well as international supply chain enterprises, IT high-tech companies, investment banks and industry experts gathered together to brainstorm and participate in the grand event. The summit attracted nearly 90 media organizations to participate in the coverage, including traditional media and new media. Their high-standard and all-round coverage made the voice of the conference originate from the bank of the Jialing River and reach the world.
CACS2023 will continue to operate creatively based on existing successful experiences, inviting automobile enterprises, high-tech companies, investors in the automotive field, technology think-tanks, important parts makers, overseas business and industrial delegations to gather together to discuss hot issues in the auto industry from their own unique perspectives and insight into the industry under the new development landscape.
